<Internet Series>

Artist Statement

My inquiry showcases what levels of absurdity the internet can reach, and how I can show my consumption. I've guided my work by reflecting on general internet experiences, emphasizing those experiences through my perspective, and sharing my personal internet experiences. The internet is an inescapable part of everyone's lives, and there are many different ranges the internet can reach. From self-identity to unpredictability, to mainstream and niche; I've observed many parts of the internet and everyone has consumed the web in their ways. I was able to curate a specific idea for each piece by reflecting on my old experiences being on the internet at a very young age, and what I’ve witnessed. The internet holds a special place in my heart because it has inspired me in so many ways, and it continues to inspire me today. What my art style is or what aesthetic is, it's because of the internet. So this series is an ode to the internet and giving back to making me what my art is today.
